There’s something about being around truly beautiful water that changes the way you feel. Maybe it’s sitting beside a desert spring in Sedona, walking along the ocean, soaking in a mountain hot spring, or drinking from a cool stream after a long hike. We instinctively slow down. We notice. We breathe a little deeper.
Water has always been part of our rituals of renewal. At Splendor, we believe that relationship with water is worth bringing into everyday life. That is where the idea of Live Water begins.
We live in a world where almost everything can be processed, purified, standardized, enhanced, and repackaged. Water is no exception. But not all water begins the same way…and not all water needs to be rebuilt once it leaves its source. Nature does it best.
We use the term Live Water to describe water that is naturally preserved from its source, maintaining its original mineral composition and character, rather than being heavily processed or artificially enhanced. For Splendor, that story begins deep in the Andean rainforest of La Maná, Ecuador, where an ancestral artesian aquifer rises through a landscape shaped by volcanic geology. The water is naturally filtered through volcanic rock from the Cotopaxi region before being bottled at the source. It is a long journey through nature before it ever reaches a bottle. And we think that matters.
Today, we’re becoming much more curious about where our food comes from. We want to know where our coffee was grown, where our wine was made, how our vegetables were farmed and what ingredients went into our favorite wellness products. Why shouldn't we ask the same questions about water?
Splendor’s source gives the water its own natural personality. Its mineral profile includes calcium, magnesium and potassium, along with naturally occurring trace elements of colloidal gold and silver. With a naturally low TDS of approximately 31 mg/L, the result is a light, clean, and smooth water, with a distinct character. Nothing has to be added to make it interesting. The story is already there.
There’s also a difference between remembering to drink water and actually enjoying the ritual of hydration.
Think about your favorite wellness ritual. Maybe it’s morning meditation, a walk outside before your phone comes out, a yoga class, a few quiet minutes with coffee, or a long shower after a day of travel. None of these things are complicated. What makes them meaningful is the intention behind them.
Water can be the same. Keep a beautiful bottle beside your desk. Pour it into your favorite glass before dinner. Bring it with you on your morning walk. Drink a glass before your workout, or while sitting outside at the end of the day. Small moments become rituals when we pay attention to them.
And when water tastes good, feels good, and becomes part of something we enjoy, hydration becomes much less about keeping score, and much more about listening to what our bodies need.
For a long time, the hydration conversation was simple: Drink more water.
But the conversation is changing. Consumers are becoming more thoughtful about the water they choose…its source, its taste, its mineral composition, how it is processed and even how it fits into their lifestyle. That is part of the evolution of the fine water and wellness water categories.
We believe the future of hydration is not about making water more complicated. It is about becoming more connected to it. More curious about where it comes from. More aware of what we are putting into our bodies. And more intentional about the everyday choices that help us feel our best.
Splendor was born from a remarkable natural source, but Live Water is bigger than one bottle or one place. It is an invitation to slow down and notice. To choose with intention. To reconnect with the simple things that support us every day.
Because wellness doesn't always have to mean another supplement, another routine or another thing to optimize. Sometimes it can be as simple as pouring yourself a glass of water, taking a breath, and actually being there for the moment.
